The topic I’ve already chosen for my literacy narrative is how I became a bass guitar player and how the journey of learning and playing an instrument has changed my life for the better. I want to write about the instrument I play because I want to encourage people who are going through a hard time in life or are simply trying to pick up a hobby to play an instrument. It has many benefits, especially mentally because I can give a first-hand account of how much playing a musical instrument improved the quality of my life and how much it helps exercise my brain. My intended audience would be all kinds of people: people who also play a musical instrument who can relate to my experiences and also people who need inspiration or want to start learning an instrument. I am an advocate for anything music-related, whether it be production, singing, or learning how to play any instrument. I believe it’s truly therapeutic and can only add good things to your life.
